So while shooting a friends wedding back in early 2016 at the Manitoba Club a friend introduced me to Jamie and Brett. I think it went something like... "Hey these guys are getting married, and you're a photographer, you guys need to talk". The rest is history I suppose.
We got out to Birdshill Park and adventured around finding some great light and pretty spots to shoot. I really love when couples relax and have some good laughs during their shoots, and these two did just that.
Enjoy.

A little history about Janelle and Eric.
Eric is my best friend, he was my best man at my wedding. Before we were friends I couldn't stand the guy! haha. Janelle on the other hand i've thought was great from the start, the perfect girl for Eric.
We're really honored to be shooting two of our really great friends wedding, not only that but I get to be a groomsman as well.
We headed out to a friends place for their engagement shoot. I'd never seen the place before and didn't know what to expect, it turned out to be a great place to shoot.
Seeing as how they met while sledding they wanted that to be part of their photo's too, so there's a few shots with them and their sleds.
Enjoy.
Grand Beach isn't exactly a winter destination. However, when you've got a beautiful winter day with the sun shining why not hit the beach for some engagement photo's.
Cassandra and Troy were up for some winter beach time thankfully, and we had a great time out there. We even had a little time by a fire in the snow!
I love getting out on engagement shoots and getting to know our couples better. There's always some good laughs to be had, and we always leave with smiles on our faces.
We spent an amazingly warm afternoon at The Forks for Carley and Dales engagement shoot.
Some skating was involved, and I seem to recall someone not being to sure footed on the ice. Im not going to name names though.
I met Dale way way back in High school, we were pretty much best buds. I hate to admit it but we spent far too many late nights playing War Craft.
Its always such an honor to shoot a friends wedding, and its also a great time to catch up with old friends, really looking forward to their big day!
Enjoy :)
I had seen some photo's of these crazy ice formations on the news, and knew I wanted to get out and shoot there. Carmen and Ben we're up for the adventure, so off to Winnipeg Beach we went.
I had a great time with these two love birds, so many good laughs. Ben also really enjoyed it as it gave him a perfect excuse to get some kisses and cuddles in with Carmen.
I didn't take it too easy on them, and talked them into climbing up onto these slippery ice mountains. I love it when couples are down for whatever I throw at them.
Also, Im fairly certain Ben's real name is Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson also known as 'The Mountain' from Game of Thrones.
Here's to looking forward to many more adventures this year!

I knew ahead of time that Renee and Kurtis had a certain style to them, what I didn't know was how great their home was too! Its totally their style. I couldn't have asked for a better place for this shoot!
An in home shoot is just a bit more intimate than the usual couple's shoot outdoors. You are already comfortable in your home, it shows who you are and what you love.
We started with some really great coffee (I seriously love coffee these days!) Even though there's 2 mugs shown in the photo's there was one for me too.
I followed Renee and Kurtis around the house, forcing them to cuddle (well not really forcing them) It was really great to get them together for some more romantic moments, and for some good laughs, which were mostly at my expense.
I'd love to shoot more of these in home lifestyle couples sessions, if you're interested hit the link to contact us!
Winter isn't really such a bad time to get out for your engagement photo's its actually really pretty, as long as its not -40 out there!
We got out to The Forks with Andreia and Sam, I think we picked one of the busiest days ever to be there! We still managed to find some secluded spots, and I did throw them in the middle of the crowd for a few photo's. ;)
Looking forward to more fun with the two of them when their wedding comes along this year!
Enjoy

Back in the fall I headed out with Gail and Kevin to the Old Pinawa Dam. We ventured around, and enjoyed some good laughs. I love capturing the connection a couple has with each other. I also love getting out with our couples and getting to know them better. Pinawa is one of those great unique Manitoba locations. If you haven't been out there I suggest you go check it out.

I love adventures! Like really really love them! So when Erica and Ashley said they wanted to head out to the McGillivray Falls hiking trail I knew it was going to be a good time.
When we got to the trail entrance we were greeted by a sign saying the trail was closed, to me that just meant the adventure would be even better! The trail was in pretty rough shape due to some extreme rain we had earlier this summer that washed away the walkways and bridges that go up the falls. It didn't stop us though.
They actually got engaged at the top of the trail almost a year to the day of this shoot. So it was kind of a special place for them. I do think its one of the best trails I've been on, the view you get rewarded with is one of the best you'll come across in Manitoba.
Thanks Erica and Ashley for bringing me along to such a special place for you guys to capture some beautiful photo's for you. :)

Bri and Paulo wanted to switch things up from the Winter engagement shoot we did, so they booked us for a second engagement shoot. It took a few attempts to find a day that the weather would cooperate, and at that we almost called it off on our drive out to Lester Beach as the sky was looking pretty black. We kept on, as honestly I thought if anything we're gonna have some awesome moody skies to work with.
We got to the beach and the sky started to open up and create one of the most amazing sunsets i've seen! On one side you've got this amazing sunset and just to the right of that you can see the rain falling in the distance over the lake. CRAZY!!!
Had a lot of fun with this shoot, Bri and Paulo are good for some laughs thats for sure.
I've also been trying to get some video clips when I can remember during our shoots so i've included that little clip as well.
I hope you enjoy this shoot as much as we did!
