What an evening this was! We drove out to Whiteshell provincial park, and started hiking out to where we were going to shoot... I took the wrong path! So we had to turn back and start over. We hiked and hiked, and Jess and Chris may have enjoyed a drink or two on that hike, I can't say for sure. We spotted a deer, a fox, lots of frogs, and possible a bear or some other large animal which growled or grunted at us a number of times on the way back in the dark. We did have a ton of fun and they were literally up for anything and everything I tossed their way! I love adventures, and this one was a great one!
Enough of my chit chat, go check the pics!

Pinawa is a pretty popular spot for engagement photo's and I'm sure you can see why! Michelle and James joined me in exploring around the park and suspension bridge for their shoot. We chased some pretty light, found some neat spots to shoot in and had a pretty 'dam' good time while we were at it. I tried some shots with a prism which you'll see at the end of the post. Not long now before I get to hang out with them again for the big wedding day!
Enjoy!
I spent a great evening wandering around Pinawa Dam Provincial Park with Jen and David for their engagement shoot. These two were naturals in front of the camera, and were up for everything I tossed their way. We had perfect weather and beautiful sunshine for this one. Looking forward to spending some more time with the two of them on their upcoming wedding day!
For now, enjoy the photo's below!
Spring... did we even really get a spring? There was still some snow and ice on the ground when we headed out to Pinawa for Stephanie and Romeo's engagement shoot, but the weather was soooooo delightfully good! Almost as good as summer! We explored around the old dam, and then made our way over to the suspension bridge to catch that last little bit of sunlight. Looking forward to some more time with these two for their wedding in a couple months!
Enjoy!
I LOVE Mcgillavray Falls. I think its one of the most beautiful places in this wonderful province of Manitoba. Great views, easy hike, and just a cool place. Its not too often Amanda and I get to shoot together these days, but I most certainly love when she can come along! Walking up the falls we could hear the water below our feet, it was still frozen but did seem a little sketchy. We hiked up some slippery slopes in not too appropriate footwear, thankfully we all came out without any spills. The next time we are walking up falls with Saki and Edwin, they won't be frozen, and it will be in Hawaii for their wedding!

Spent an absolutely lovely March evening with Nor and Nikko for an engagement shoot. We wandered around the Exchange District finding all of that good light, then headed over to Fort Gibraltar to finish off the shoot. Had a great time with these two, total naturals in front of the camera.
Enjoy!
I had a blast shooting with Steph and Josh, we had some good laughs and fun times. Whats makes that even crazier is that this was the first time we met in person. Im generally very much for meeting with couples before they even book us, but sometimes its just not possible or they just know right away that they want to book us. So when it comes time to actually meeting for the first time at an engagement shoot it can make everyone a little nervous. Luckily for me I seem to be pretty good at getting those nerves out of the way for both myself and our couples. Looking forward to some more fun with them as they get married on the same day that we did!
These two... always good for some fun and some good laughs! We spent some time out at the Pinawa suspension bridge on what I remember to be not a totally freezing cold winter day. We wandered around a little bit, and had some fun throwing snow (I may have thrown some snow at them as well...). I am looking forward to spending more time with them in the summer when its much warmer out.
Enjoy!
Sometimes the weather isn't always the greatest, and when I met up with Claire and John for their engagement shoot it was downright freezing cold! We toughed it out though, wandered around Wolesley and even took a little coffee break at Thom Bargen! (Im a big fan of coffee). After warming up we made our way back out to grab a few more shots. These two are a lot of fun, and Claire managed to keep the biggest smiles going for the whole shoot! Can't wait for the big day later this year.
Enjoy!
Way back in December Michelle and I took Kristy and Adam out for a fun shoot at Birds Hill Park. We had a fire, some dancing in that sweet snowy wonderland and a lot of good fun and laughs with them. It sure is nice to get out and shoot in the winter when its not -40 Celsius outside.
Enjoy!
