Its always a treat getting out to Pinawa Dam, such an interesting place with lots of opportunities for photo’s. I met up with Kayla and Jason out there for their engagement session just a couple weeks before their wedding (Keep your eyes out for that it will be on the blog soon too) They brought along their very cute pup (Chompy) you’ll see him sneak into a few photo’s below. I experimented with some photo’s, and I also tried out a vintage 135mm lens for a few of their photo’s too! All in all we had a fun time exploring and taking some gorgeous photo’s out at Pinawa Dam.
Hope you enjoy!

Very exicted to share this engagement with everyone! I met up with Matt and Tyrell at the Forks for the engagement session. They started things off the proper way… with a couple beers! haha.( I guess if I was to pick it would probably be with some form of Gin drink, but thats just my style. ) I shot some photo’s while they drank, and we took a few photo’s indoors around The Common. After that it was outside and wandering around The Forks for more photo’s. We wrapped it up with a couple fun rounds of Pinball (I think we need to get a pinball machine now, who doesn’t love pinball right?!?!)
Had a great time with these two, lots of good laughs! Can’t wait for their Wedding at Hawthorn Estates this winter!
For now, enjoy the photo’s below, let us know what you think!
Oh boy! Talk about a fun time. Allison and Brad brought the fire for this shoot, literally…
We spent a bit of time in the cold at Birdshill Park wandering around, finding pretty light, and when we got a bit chilly they started up the fire and busted out the s’more from Folk + Fire, along with a couple of big mugs of Baileys! They rolled in the snow, tossed snow at each and pretty much had just about as much fun as you could have in the snow.
I hope you enjoy checking these out as much as I did taking the photo’s.
Winter, I used to really dislike shooting in the winter… its just so, you know… cold.
My mind has changed over the past year or two though, its fun, and beautiful, and it forces your couples to get closer together to keep warm. Laurin and Brandon were up for walking through the deep snow, getting some booters and just having a great time! They even brought their pup out for some photo’s too! Gotta love those fur babies right! I am looking forward to spending more time with them when its a bit warmer in July for their wedding. :)
Enjoy
I’d say from the start when I met up with these two at Forth Coffee in Winnipeg we had a great connection. I knew these two would be fun, relaxed and laid back and we’d make some great memories and photos. We headed out to Pinawa Provincial Park for their engagement photo’s, we got lucky and had a fantastic evening with beautiful light. Im sure you’ll see in the pics that these two had a fantastic time, and lots of good laughs were had. We’ll be heading out to Montana with them in a few weeks to shoot their wedding and hit the ski slopes! Can’t wait for more fun times.
This shoot was a lot of fun, as you can see in the photo’s the weather was actually pretty decent at the start, but by the time we were finishing up it was snowing like crazy, and that was AWESOME! Alysa and Jordan were all kinds of fun and up for anything. Engagement shoots are so fun, and relaxed, its almost like a date for our couples.
Looking forward to spending more time with Alysa and Jordan later this summer!
Enjoy!
Amanda and I managed to get out together for a shoot! (Thanks Mom for watching the kiddos!) We drove out to Lac Lu and met up with Cheyenne and Brett at Lac Lu Landing. Brett brought his boat along (I am always down with that!) oh, and they brought the cutest little puppy along (Jagger).
With the boat in the water we headed out to a few different spots. At one point we pulled up to a cliff, and left Amanda and Jagger in the boat. Brett just so happens to have a remote control for his boat so he sent it out away from the cliff side so Amanda could take some shots of the two of them from out on the lake.
We wrapped up the shoot with some more photo’s at their cabin to add that little special extra touch.
After all was said and done Amanda and I had out own little date night at Lake of the Woods Brew Co. Surprise surprise on the way out we spotted Cheyenne and Brett there too.
Can’t wait for more good times with these two and Jagger.
On my way to meet up with Nicole and Anthony the sky was looking pretty dark with rain on the way. As we pulled up to the spot where we were going to start shooting the rain eased up a bit for us, and a couple minutes later it stopped. It worked out perfect!
Sometimes you’ve just gotta go for it, and rain or shine its going to work out. We’re going to have fun and make some good memories while we’re at it. Glad these two were up for it as the colors were just beautiful after the rain!
Enjoy!
These two are just sweethearts, not only too each other but those around them too. We spent an evening walking the trails at Little Mountain Park. Fun fact, I used to ride my bike out to the park when I was younger and search through the bush for all the lost golf balls from the golf course beside it.
It was fun getting out with them, and getting to know them a bit better. Looking forward to their New Years Eve wedding this year!

So, what better place to start an engagement shoot than a corn maze! We started out at A Maze In Corn with some fun photo’s in the maze, and somehow managed to not get lost! We checked out the little petting farm while there too!
After that bit of fun we headed out to La Barriere Park for some more fun. We wandered around, found some good cute spots and just had a great time together.
Enjoy!
