Not all engagement sessions need to happen in the evening before sunset, this one with Ashley and Anthony was in the morning, and we made use of that wonderful morning light. The air was cool and crisp, but the two of them brought the heat! They were both excited to get out for their engagement shoot, which always makes for a really great time for all of us.
If anyone wants to do their engagement shoot in the morning, im all for it!
Enjoy!

I met Courtney and Adrian for the first time at The Forks for their engagement session. Without having much of a previous relationship established it means i’ve got to get them comfortable and relaxed enough to capture some good genuine moments in a short time. I enjoy that challenge and feel like its something i’ve gotten pretty decent at over the years. We walked around The Forks and made some great photo’s and got to know each other a bit better. Its really great getting to know all of the different couples we get to work with.
Enjoy!
The Forks was a pretty popular spot for engagements this past year and Im alright with that! I think The Forks is doing great things to get people down there these days! One of those things being beers at The Common, which happens to be how Holly and Ryans session ended :)
The fall colors were stunning and so were Holly and Ryan! Hope you enjoy the photo’s we made below!
We’ve known Chelsea for a number of years now, and were obviously super excited to hear when her and Mike got engaged! We headed out to the famous Bridge Drive In Ice Cream for their engagement session. These two aren’t the most serious couple, in fact they are quite silly and lots of fun! So we made a good mix of sweet romantic moments and some real good silly moments too!
I feel like I say this way too often, but honestly shoots with our couples are so fun! Not exactly sure how we luck out with all these great couples but whatever it is, I like it!
I’d met Jessica and Osmar at a wedding in the summer and was super glad to be a part of their special time now! These two were full of fun and natural moments. We didn’t get much more than 15 seconds of a fancy sunset, but I don’t think it made a difference as these two were shining bright enough!
Can’t wait for more good times to come!
Im not sure if there’s a better way to start a shoot than showing up with me wearing pretty much the exact same thing as Kurtis! Im cool with that, and it set the tone for the rest of the shoot, and by that I mean it was AWESOME! Seriously though, we had a really great time wandering around Waterfront and The Exchange District. Can’t wait to spend some more time with them at Hawthorn Estates for their wedding!
Enjoy!
Sarah and Seth were pretty darn great to work with. They are getting married out of town and already have a photographer for their wedding, but wanted some engagement photo’s done near Winnipeg, so we spent some time taking their photo’s at Birds Hill Park.
It was an absolute pleasure and a lot of fun getting out with these two! Can’t wait to see the wedding photos!
One of the prettiest places around come fall time is Birds Hill Park. Always enjoy shooting there, and this shoot with Heather and Zach was no exception. The two of them were super cute and so in love!
Enjoy!
You might notice that we’ve done a lot of engagement shoots out at Pinawa. Its pretty clear to see why, its a beautiful place with lots of great spots for photo’s. We generally don’t pick where we do engagement shoots, we leave that up to our couples to pick somewhere that is special to them. Back in the fall I met up with Shayla and Eric out there for their session. Plenty of good laughs were had, and we also made some pretty fancy photo’s while we were at it!
With that said, take a scroll down and enjoy!
This was my first time meeting Iris and Jonah, and it almost didn’t happen because it was raining moments before their engagement shoot! The weather cleared up and it turned into the perfect evening for them!
We started off at the Upper Fort Garry Park behind the Manitoba Club. There was a bunch of tree’s with the most beautiful red and orange leaves that just had to be a part of the shoot. After that we just wandered around without a plan or specific spots to shoot. This is one of my fav things to do on a shoot by the way, there’s no expectations of certain spots, its just us walking around and taking photos when the time is right. We ended up at the Forks and in the train station as well.
It was really great to finally meet up with Iris and Jonah and have some good times together! Their wedding will be on the blog soon too, so watch for that!
Enjoy!
