Its always great watching your couples go from being engaged, to getting married, to expanding their family with a baby on the way! Kelsey and Ed are expecting their first child very soon, so we went out to Pinawa Dam with them and captured some super sweet maternity photo’s to remember this special time in their lives.
Hope you all enjoy this one!

Aren't women's bodies the most amazing thing? We literally create, grow, and birth small humans.
I am all for photographing all stages of life, especially pregnancy, (it's kind of second nature, considering our jobs ... :) ) So trying to photograph the beautiful pregnant body a little different was something I've always wanted to try.
Maternity photos are amazing, and highly recommended, we are only pregnant for such a short time, although if you ask anyone near the end of their pregnancy, they will say it feels like a life time. LOL!!! But - regardless of how uncomfortable, swollen and just plain DONE moms-to-be are, we have to take a moment to capture the beauty of our bodies, that baby will be here before you know it, and all you will have left are the memories, and if you're lucky enough - some beautiful pictures!
I am happy to say that I am going to be adding milk baths to my repertoire. If this is something that you would be interested in doing, please head over to the contact us page, and send me an email.
In the mean time, take a scroll below. Check out this momma of soon to be 2! She was an absolute gem to photograph, and check out that perfect baby belly!

Its always great seeing past wedding couples again, especially when its because their family is growing! We got to capture Kayla and Catlin's maternity photo's for them and catch up a bit since we last seen them.
Enjoy!
We were supposed to head out to Birdhill Park for Jamie's maternity shoot but Mother Nature wasn't having that. So, instead we did the shoot in their home, and im really happy about that! I've been wanting to do more in home, lifestyle type shoots and this one was perfect!
They even had flower wreaths made for the dogs to wear! (Awesome work by Britney of Fache Florals)
Its fun chatting with soon to be parents, there's so much excitement, nervousness, unsure of what to expect, etc. I think these two will do just fine when their little one comes along.
I'd love to do more of these type of shoots so if you're interested shoot us a message!
Enjoy.
Any chance we can get to escape the city, and shoot some place new, we jump on it. Chelsea + Dave live just past Grand Beach in Belair, so we went out there to do her maternity shoot, and are we ever glad we did. What a beautiful area. Their backyard was perfect for a some earthy loving shots, and then we headed down to the beach from some more glowy goodness. Baby isn't due until November, but we can't wait to head out that direction again to take some newborn pics!
Congrats to the mom and dad to be!

We've known Corrine and JP for a good number of years now, and we were quite excited to hear that they were adding to their family.
Corrine and I had been trying to figure out a location for their shoot and we had decided we would shoot at a field near their house. However a few hours before she asked me if I had anywhere else in mind, some where cooler. For some reason I actually had pictured this shoot a few days before on top of this parkade with the city in the background. She thought it would be a great spot, and was relieved as in her words "we aren't really field people" haha.
So glad we switched up the location, as it was perfect for the two of them, and I think it was a little more appropriate for the Louboutin's.

Rachelle wanted to get together for a shoot to announce their little miracle to all of their friends and family. They even brought their little fur babies with them to the park to be a part of the big announcement.
Having been friends with Jeff for many many years now, I was really excited to hear the big news that him and Tara were expecting their first together.
We made use of his old barn and his Canola field for the shoot. Who wouldn't love owning their own field of beautiful yellow flowers right?
These two have some great chemistry and were a pleasure to spend the evening with, it was hard to stop taking their photo's.
Can't wait for your little one to arrive!
It was a smokey day when we got out for Melissa's maternity shoot. It kind of added a bit of magic to the photo's though. We took a stroll through Kilcona Park with the two expecting parents. It shouldn't be too long now until we meet the new arrival to their family.
