Planning a wedding during a pandemic isn’t the easiest or most pleasurable thing to do. However, Jessica and Osmar pulled it off and it was amazing!
They didn’t do a first look, but opted to see eachother for the first time on the wedding day as Jessica walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful and emotional moment for sure! They held their ceremony outdoors at The Gates On Roblin. The ceremony was perfect, full of laughs, emotions, and some tears.
After the ceremony we headed to Assiniboine Park with the wedding party and parents for some photos. We had such a perfect day with beautiful light, and no crazy weather.
We headed back to The Gates On Roblin for their reception. These pandemic times are weird, and guests had to stick to their own side of the room, and no dancing allowed indoors. It didn’t stop the reception from being a great time though. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and enjoyed some fantastic speeches and dinner.
After the formalities of the evening were complete everyone made their way outside for some music and a wild fireworks display! What a great day for Jessica and Osmar!

Another gorgeous day for an equally gorgeous wedding! Holly and Brandan got married at Pineridge Hollow (Always enjoy working there!) The day started with some getting ready photo’s of the guys, and then over to the ladies. Champagne bottles were poppin and all kinds of fun was happening. The ceremony was wonderful and followed up by a fantastic cocktail hour or two for a chance to mingle with all their friends. Once the wedding moved inside some friends and family had to leave due to gathering restrictions. That didn’t stop the fun and good times for the rest of the evening though!
Had such a great time with Holly and Brandan and all of their family and friends.
Enjoy!
Im not sure if you know this or not, but we LOVE Clear Lake, in Riding Mountain National Park. Its one of our fav places to go anytime in the year. So when Kirstin and Blaise contacted us to say they were getting married there we got all kinds of excited! They are from Saskatchewan, and the wedding almost never ended up happening in Clear Lake because of travel restrictions, lucky for them and for us travel was allowed between the provinces and the wedding could go on! They had a beautiful ceremony at the Wishing Well, and followed it up with an evening cruise with family and friends aboard the Martese.
We ended up spending a few days camping out there with the kids after the wedding too! Always nice when we can make a trip out of it.
Enjoy!
Looking for some idea’s on where to elope in Manitoba? We’ve put together a list of some of the top places and locations we could think of!
Times are a bit different these days for Weddings, gone are the days of having big gatherings full of friends and family. Don’t get me wrong we HOPE that those days are back soon, but for the time being weddings look like they are going to be smaller and more intimate events. You still want those moments captured, and we are going to be along for the ride with you documenting it all. Eloping in Manitoba, or Canada for that matter is a great option. We’re here to help you plan it, and make it as amazing as possible. So check out some of the idea’s below, we will try and update this with more ideas too!
If a local elopement is something you are interested in don’t hesitate to reach out to us, we’d love to hear from you!
Corey & Amanda :)
Take note, these are in no particular order.
1. Lake House - Clear Lake, Riding Mountain National Park
Lake House is a Boutique Hotel located in Clear Lake. It has a wonderful restaurant with amazing food, a warm fireplace to cuddle up beside, and some great cocktails and coffee! Whether you have your wedding inside or outside you can be sure it will be beautiful. Clear Lake is one of Manitoba’s most beautiful places no matter what time of year you visit. In the summer its full of all kinds of fun activities and you can’t go wrong jumping into the crystal clear water to cool off. In the winter its a magical place that isn’t too busy, but still offers all kinds of great things to do. There is skating trails, horseback riding, trails to explore and the list goes on.
We’ve stayed at Lake House many times over the years and enjoyed it each and every time!

2. Whiteshell Provincial Park
Manitoba is full of beautiful landscapes, and the Whiteshell doesn’t disappoint. There’s many great lakes, hiking trails and resorts and cabins to have your elopement. Why not find a super cute lakeside cabin on AirBNB and elope there! Imagine a fire on the lake, just the two of you, or your close family and friends surrounding you. Maybe a home cooked meal afterwards, or have it catered. A couple drinks on the dock, and a romantic sunset. What more could you really ask for?
3. Downtown Winnipeg
Who says you need to leave the city to elope? With so many great spots around the exchange district, or one of the many beautiful parks within the city its easy to capture lots of beautiful photo’s and be close to home. After the ceremony and photo’s are done, why not head to your fav restaurant for an intimate dinner and then spend a night at one of Winnipegs many great hotels.
4. Birds Hill Park
Just a quick drive out of the city and you can find a location in the park without anyone around, beautiful open fields, many trails, beautiful magical forest area’s, etc. You could even head over to the always amazing Pineridge Hollow for dinner and drinks!
5. Grand Beach, Lester Beach, Victoria Beach
Anyone of these beaches offer a beautiful romantic place to elope. Book an AirBNB, have an intimate ceremony on the beach at Sunset, take a few moments to soak it all in, maybe even jump in the lake after! Sounds like a great time to us!
6. Bella’s Castle in Morden, MB
Why not get married in a castle… in Manitoba!
Bella’s castle is a gorgeous little venue located in Morden, Manitoba. They are even offering elopement packages! They’ve got your accommodations, food, venue, etc covered! You can stay in town for photo’s or take a short drive to the Pembina Valley for some beautiful views for your photo’s.

6. Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg, MB
Assiniboine Park offers so many great spots for photo’s and intimate ceremony locations. Beautiful walking trails, gardens full of flowers and plants, the Leo Mol sculpture garden. The Assiniboine Forest is near by for more photo locations. Or a quick walk over the bridge and the two of you can go grab an ice cream from Sargeant Sundae!
These are just a few of the many great places we can suggest and help you plan for your local elopement!

The original plans for Megan and Aren’s wedding had to get tossed out the window this year. It turned out to be a perfect wedding anyways, small and intimate, a grilled cheese food truck in the back yard and a beautiful ceremony at Assiniboine Park. These two were just the absolute cutest too! So in love, and so happy to be getting married. They even got their engagement photo’s printed on some Jenna Rae Cakes Macarons! How rad is that!
So happy to have been a part of their day, and capturing all of it for them!
Brooke and Justin were supposed to have a big wedding surrounded by so many family and friends this summer, however with all the restrictions they postponed the big party to 2021, but they still had their family out to make their marriage official. They had a very sweet and intimate ceremony at Cielo’s Garden on a beautiful June evening. I stuck around after to capture a few sunset photo’s of them too!
Jazmyn and Jared got married on Jareds grandparents property, and Jareds brother officiated the ceremony for them. It was sweet, intimate, and emotional. I was only with them for just a couple hours but sure enjoyed it and appreciated how special the day was for them.
There wasn’t going to be anything stopping Lisette and Paul from getting married!! They had one hell of an excellent day to get married. Family and friends surrounding them, great weather and a beautiful venue at The Gates On Roblin.
They both got ready just footsteps away from each other in their home. Then it was time for the first look. A bit before the wedding day Lisette emailed me to let me know they had something fun planned for the first look, Pauls friend was going to be in a wedding dress instead of Lisette, and it couldn’t have been any more hilarious! Im not sure which reaction was better, the one with his friend or the one with Lisette! haha.
We headed to the exchange for some photo’s, and to the Forks (to which we were greeted with a huge cheer from everyone that was outside enjoying drinks and the beautiful weather.
Then it was off to The Gates On Roblin to make things official and enjoy the company of their family and friends. Im so happy to have been a part of this big day for these two. I’ve known Paul for many years now, and let me tell ya, he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, and Lisette is a gem as well. Im going to let you just go ahead and check out the photo’s or the slideshow below!
Enjoy!
Way back when covid had its way about shutting things down, and limiting people at gatherings, Courtney and Adrian were supposed to be having a big celebration full of family and friends. Instead of postponing their big day they decided to go on with the wedding no matter how many people were allowed to attend. Thankfully they chose me as one of those that could be a part of it. Surrounded by their closest family and friends at Whitetail Meadow they said their ‘I do’s’ and had an amazing day full of love, happiness, and maybe even a few tears (Happy ones of course). They even celebrated with an amazing fireworks show!
Next year they will be celebrating their wedding, in what should be a much bigger party!
Thank you both for continuing with your wedding no matter what happened. I can’t wait for the next celebration with you, your family and friends!
Enjoy! I highly suggest watching the slideshow, its always better with music!
Katie and Kurtis, a seriously sweet couple! I had an absolute great time with these two from the first time we met, its been so good being a part of this journey.
I spent a morning with Katie and her girls getting ready, and Michelle was with Kurtis and the guys.
We met up at the Millennium Centre in Winnipeg for a first look and some photos!
After the Millennium Centre we took a quick pit stop in the Exchange and down Waterfront for some chilly outside photos! and then a short stop at A&W with the whole crew for some lunch!
They had their ceremony at Hawthorn Estates and even had their pup there celebrate with them.
After the ceremony we managed to catch a bit of a sunset, and then it was time for the reception!
Hawthorn is always such a great wedding venue with super amazing staff and plenty of great photo spots around.
This wedding was wonderful, and it just so happened to be our last wedding before all of the Covid lockdowns, and rules came into place. We can’t wait for more big celebrations and gatherings of more than 10 people.
Hope you enjoy!
