You may remember from their engagement shoot blog post, that I used to babysit Brett and his brothers. Oh man those three were a wild handful! Not much has changed since then other than they are grown up and I don’t babysit them anymore. It was truly an honour to be able to capture Brett and Sara’s big day, and to see so many familiar faces too!
Their wedding was held at the beautiful Ashgrove Acres. It’s always such a pleasure shooting there, everything is so well taken care of and the owners are fantastic people too.
The weather didn’t really want to cooperate for us that day, moments before the ceremony it poured rain, lots of it! But Sara and Brett kept it together and waited it out for it to stop and then got the ceremony going outside as planned. It was a pretty great day after that, lots of great speeches, good laughs, and just an excellent time had by all that day!
Enough of me yammering away, check the photos out for yourself!

Well this one was one of the sweetest weddings I ever did get to shoot. These two are just meant to be, you can tell when you first meet them, and then you get into a room full of their family and friends and you really know its true love. Had such a wonderful time with Lia and Lou and everyone at their wedding at the Journey to Churchill Exhibit in Assiniboine Park Zoo. We even had the pleasure of some polar bears joining in to watch the ceremony.
Enjoy!
Alright... So let me just start by saying I couldn't have asked for a better wedding to kick off the season! The entire day was full of fun and celebration. We started off in houses packed with family and friends getting ready, then off to the ceremony, followed up with photo's at the Manitoba Legislative building then off to get the evening party started with 400ish guests at the Victoria Inn. The weather was absolute perfect too, it was a perfect start to what is going to be a great season of weddings!
Enjoy!
Ashley and Matt got married back in February, and yeah as you'd expect it was cold out. They embraced it and we made the most of the beautiful wintery outdoors. We also stopped in at the Kings Head pub to warm up, have a drink or two, and some snacks (I'll never say no to a stop at the Kings Head!) Their wedding reception was held at the Qualico Centre in Assiniboine Park. There was a good amount of fun happening throughout the night, I seem to recall a bottle of Fireball being passed around with a gopro attached to it.
Enjoy!
It was a rather cold February day when Nikki and Bruno got married, however that didn't slow anyone down at all. The day was absolutely perfect and full of fun, good laughs and lots of love. The ceremony and reception were both held at the beautiful Best Western Greenwood Ballroom (seriously always so nice in there!) and Nikki had it looking great with all of the decore and florals from Floral Fixx.
Enjoy!

Ashley and Kenny were married on New Years eve at the Inn at the Forks. It was a freezing cold day but it was full of warm hearts, and tons of fun! The day started off with a traditional tea ceremony. After a quick change of clothes they did their first look and then we made out way out to the freezing cold outdoors for some photo's. The night was all kinds of fun, the dance floor was on fire and the party was great!
Congrats again to these fun lovers!

When its minus one million outside, and you're shooting a wedding in Winkler, and your Groom is a potato farmer you head to the place where they store the potato's for some photo's!
Never would I have imagined shooting in a place like that, but I'd say it turned out pretty damn awesome.
Stephanie and Adam had a super sweet, and extremely beautiful wedding out in Winkler just before new years eve. We had a lot of fun, and dealt with some super cold temps but everything went perfect in the end. I didn't mind a quick pit stop at the local coffee shop either.
Enjoy!
It was a chilly winter day, but Caitlin and Jeff kept things hot. We made our rounds starting at The Alt Hotel, Peg Beer Co, The Kingshead Pub and then back to Peg Beer Co for the evening ceremony and reception. We had a great time with them, and other familiar faces at the wedding. I've known Jeff for quite a few years now, so it was an honor to be shooting their wedding.
Enjoy!
So on a scale of 1-10 for unique weddings I've shot over the years this one is 12 out of 10. I'll start by mentioning that I've known Ash for more years than I can think of. I still remember one of the first times we met, and it involved one of my favorite food groups (Chicken wings, Ash when you read this maybe we can plan to go for wings soon!) We've been through it all together over the years, so it was definitely an honor to be asked to shoot their wedding.
From the skulls, pumpkins, horror movie table numbers, and more you'll get a pretty good idea of the things that Liz and Ash are into. Ash had a green suit (Super rad in my books!) and Liz had a custom made Lennard Taylor Wedding dress. There was plenty of details, that wild cake!, vows written on a roll of toilet paper, and some thoughtful tributes to those that couldn't be present.
Liz and Ash, thank you both for having me capture your wedding day for you!
It was a cool and breezy October day for Gail and Kevin's wedding. We started off with their first look on the Esplanade Riel Footbridge and followed it up with some photo's around the Forks, and in front of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. They had their wedding ceremony inside the Museum and held the reception at the Inn at the Forks. Gail and Kevin started the party off with one hell of a fancy and fun dance. It really set the pace for the rest of the evening.
Enjoy!
