What a stunner of a wedding this was! Alysa and Jorden had everything planned out so beautifully, all the pretty details and just a fantastic day of fun with their family and friends at Cielo’s Garden. The day started at The Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg with Alysa and her bridesmaids getting ready in one hotel room, while Jorden and his groomsmen getting ready in another. This made it easy for me to sneak back and forth to get getting ready shots of everyone. I got to work alongside Jerome Santome Films for the day, its always great to work with other very talented people and watch them work their magic.
We headed outside for their first look and some wedding party photo’s before making our way out of town to Cielo’s Garden.
They had their ceremony outdoors with some beautiful music by the Luminous String Quartet, seriously way to set the mood! After the ceremony t was time for cocktail hour in which their guest were able to enjoy a fantastic spread of appetizers by Chew Catering, as well as the Bride and Grooms signature drinks!
Chew Catering created an amazing tapas inspired 5 course meal for dinner which was honestly one of the best meals i’ve had the pleasure of enjoying (not just at a wedding, but anywhere!). A few fantastic speeches later and it was time to get the party started, and wow what a party it was!! Alysa and Jorden’s friends knew how to party and have fun on the dance floor!
Before the sun dipper too low in the sky we snuck off for some sunset photo’s and a little time away for the two of them to spend together alone.
A big thank you to Melanie Parent events for being wonderful to work with and making sure everything ran so smoothly during the day!
Time for me to stop typing, and time for you to start enjoying the photo’s below!

I traveled to Clear Lake for Jacie & Kane's summer wedding and it didn't disappoint. It had been a few years since I'd been out that way, but it was just as I remembered. So gorgeous. Jacie and Kane have a beautiful story and it was a pleasure to be part of their day. I also met their cats, which is always a highlight! Many thanks to Tiara for second shooting with me.

We were friends before we’d actually ever met in person… I know, weird way to start off a blog post about a wedding, but here goes! I’d say somewhere over 8 years ago, Evan and I started our Bromance. He was into cool trucks, and so was I. We’d shoot each other messages over social media and what not and thats pretty much how our friendship started. We actually invited Erin and Evan to our wedding before we even met them in person. So here we are all these years later capturing them on their wedding day and celebrating with them. We’ve become great friends with Erin and Evan over the years and we even got to be there with them in Vegas when they got engaged! A lot of fun has been had together, and really can’t wait for more great times ahead.
They had their wedding at the Sky Lounge at the Fort Garry in Winnipeg. Pretty cool place if you ask me, especially since we got to head out on the rooftop for some photo’s. The day was celebrated with their closest of friends and family making for an intimate and very fun celebration.
Congrats Erin and Evan! Here’s to many years together, and more fun times in the future!
Corey + Amanda :)
Tamara and Peter had a very intimate wedding, they had their ceremony beside the river in Portage La Prairie with just 2 of their friends and Tamara’s son, well them and the guy fishing on the other side of the river.
We took some photo’s near their house, and then made our way back into Winnipeg to get a few more photo’s around Waterfront, and a quick stop at Patent 5 Distillery before they headed for Dinner at Cibo.
We really love these intimate weddings and would love to be a part of more of them!
Congrats Tamara and Peter, and thanks for having us part of your day!
Jennifer and Alain celebrated their big day with their closest family and friends in their back yard. They even had a food truck come by!! Can’t ever go wrong with a food truck! They also had the yard full of games, and even a bouncy castle! Oh and they had Sargent Sundae Ice Cream!! Pretty much the best thing ever!
Mandy captured their day beautifully and even snuck them out for some gorgeous sunset photos!
Enjoy!
Its no secret that Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park is one of our favorite places around. We’ve spent a fair bit of time out there over the years and love every chance we get to be out there. So when Kristen and Landon asked us to shoot their wedding there, obviously we got excited!
Their day was full of love, laughs and all kinds of good times with their family and friends! It was also crazy hot outside, im pretty sure my knee caps were sweating! They held their ceremony at the very pretty Wishing Well, and then we ventured around to a few different locations around Clear Lake. When it came time to party the night away, they had the reception at Dance Land! Such a beautiful venue for a wedding at Clear Lake.
Now its time for you to scroll down and check out a selection of some of our fav photo’s from the day!
Back in June I hopped in my car on what looked to be a beautiful sunny day in Winnipeg, and started my drive out to Winkler. About 30 mins before I made it to Winkler the clouds had covered the sun and rain was coming down. As you’d imagine my heart got a little bit sad that we wouldn’t be getting many beautiful outdoor photo’s, and I didn’t really know what was around for alternate indoor locations nearby.
Walking into Rita’s parents home I wasn’t sure what reaction i’d get about the rain, but one of the first things Rita said was that she was more than ready to head out for photo’s in the rain! YESSSSS!!!! now thats the attitude I love. I was all for it as it wasn’t pouring, but it was still coming down enough to get rather soaked. I took a chance with the camera gear and tried to keep it as dry as possible.
We started off with a really cute first look just outside the house under the cover of the chicken coop, the best looking chicken coup i’ve ever seen too! After that, we hopped in their old civic and booted down some gravel roads and found some absolutely breathtaking places for photo’s with them.
If you ask me the rain made these photo’s way better than a sunny day. They embraced it, had a great time with it and I couldn’t be happier with the results. We did get a few breaks from the rain while doing family photo’s and photo’s with the wedding party, so that was nice.
Rita’s parents also have a herd of Bison at their place, so clearly we had to get out there and get some photo’s with the herd. We couldn’t get too close for obvious reasons, but it was nice to incorporate them into some shots.
The rest of the evening was spent celebrating Rita and Shawn with their closest family and friends around. Countless good laughs during the speeches were had.
If you’re having your wedding in or around Winkler i’d love to shoot it, its just too beautiful out there, and for all the brides out there worried about rain on the wedding day, just take a scroll through these photo’s and don’t be too worried about it. The rain can sure make things just as stunning!
You can check out the slideshow with some music, or you can scroll on through the photo’s.
Enjoy!!!
WHAT A DAY!!
Kayla and Jason celebrated their wedding on an absolutely gorgeous May day.
We started off with a first look at the Leo Mol Gradens at Assiniboine Park with a quick appearance from Chompy!
We made our way out to Bridges Golf Course for the rest of the wedding day. We took some more photo’s with the two of them, some with the wedding party. Had a lot of fun with this crew.
It’s not too often in May that you get a beautiful day and can have your ceremony outdoors, but they sure did!
The rest of the evening was spent capturing some fun reception action, with a quick dip outside for some sunset photo’s.
Enough of my banter, take a look at the photo’s below and enjoy!

The day after the wedding I took Sara and Travis out for another shoot, a bit more sunset and a bit more time to capture some beautiful photo’s of them. We wandered around the beach near The Royalton Riviera and found a bunch of great spots. Loved getting out with them for a little more relaxed and slower paced shoot.
Enjoy.
Back in March, a few days after getting home from a wedding in Montana, I packed up and made my way to the Royalton Riviera in Mexico with Sara, Travis and a great bunch of their family and friends. I had a couple days to get to know their entourage and they were indeed a good group. Lots of good laughs were had. Their wedding day was perfect, the weather was HOT!!, the staff at the Royalton Riviera had everything taken care of and decorated perfectly for their beach ceremony, and rooftop reception. The resort had so many great spots to take photo’s (I did some location scouting the days before the wedding and had a good game plan for the day) Sara and Travis treated me like a good friend that they’d known for years and I felt like one of their people.
The gallery below is from the wedding day, i’ll be posting another one soon of their day after shoot.
Enjoy.
Corey :)
