What an amazing day spent with Cheyenne and Brett for their wedding. The champagne was flowing, and the smiles and laughs were abundant while the ladies were getting ready. The guys were up to the same thing, just maybe something different than champagne for them.
Cheyenne had the wonderful Ashley Tiopo Artistry team doing her makeup and the bridesmaids. The Bridesmaids all had beautiful black dresses on which totally suited the look for the day! After the ladies were all ready at the Inn at the Forks everyone made their way to All Saints Church for a beautiful ceremony. Im a big fan of the fancy old churches, and All Saints is one of them. Bretts first time seeing Cheyenne for the day was when she was walked down the aisle by her dad. The ceremony was wonderful and there was some tears happening thats for sure.
After the beautiful ceremony we headed back over to The Forks for some photo’s with the wedding party, and Cheyenne and Brett. We took photo’s on the skating trail, and some outside the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. After that we made our way inside the Museum for some more fun and fancy photo’s before getting the big celebration started!
Im not sure if i’ve mentioned it before, but live bands are amazing at Weddings! Cheyenne and Brett had The Big City All Star Band (One of the best!) They sure know how to get the action happening on the dance floor.
This was an absolute wonderful day spent with some great people! Hope you enjoy the photos!

These two guys… what can we say about them! They are a couple of the nicest guys i’ve ever met. Always so happy and full of some good laughs. As I’m writing this we just had a visit from them at our front door (can’t get too close because of social distancing), they dropped off some home made easter paska for us and the kids (it was fantastic by the way) and last weekend we spent some time chatting over FaceTime and enjoying some drinks. Im happy to have had the chance to meet Tyrell and Matt and call them friends.
Now… lets chat about these two and their wedding day! I started the day off meeting them at the Inn at the Forks, to which they both answered the door without shirts on, haha! I captured some great moments of them getting ready for the day together. A few of their best friends and family were also there and had some very kind words to say to them. It got a bit emotional all up in that room!
With everyone dressed up and ready to go we ventured around the Forks taking some photos, and having more good times! A few photo’s in the Train Station, some more inside the Forks market. We might have enjoyed a macaroon from Jenna Rae Cakes as well.
After that it was off to the always gorgeous Hawthorn Estates! The ceremony was so amazing, so personal, and you could really feel all the love for these two guys in the room! Everyone enjoyed some amazing charcuterie from Chef Ben Kramer, who might I mention also created an amazing dinner for everyone! WOW!
With Dinner all finished up they wasted no time in getting the party started. This was no ordinary party though, first it was introduced via video by Rick Campanelli (aka Rick the temp) from Much Music, and it was a Much Music Video Dance Party!! Lets just say everyone was beyond excited about this and the dance floor was bumpin the entire time!
Maybe i’ve said enough, and now its time for you to check out the photos!!
Oh how I miss the warm weather, the sand, and jumping in the ocean!
Samantha and Sean and a great bunch of their family and friends jumped on a plane and flew off to Varadero, Cuba! (We were on the plane with them too!). We all spent a good few days enjoying the Iberostar Bella Vista Resort, having some tasty beverages by the pool, and just having a lot of fun!
The wedding day was no exception to the fun, a beautiful ceremony on the beach, some moody skies for photo’s, a delicious meal, and the first Beach Party that the resort ever had! What a time!
Im just going to let you take a little browse through some of their photo’s below! Hope you enjoy!!
Also, their day after session will be on the blog soon!
What an absolute blast it was spending the day with Iris and Jonah back in November. The day was full of good laughs, a few tears and all kinds of fun! They both got ready in the same Hotel (different rooms) so it made it easy for me to jump back and forth between them to get their getting ready photos.
We met up at Aspire Studios for their first look and many more photo’s. It was a pretty chilly November day so its a good thing they had a spot for photo’s indoors. Once we made it to St. Boniface Golf Course we took a few more photo’s outside, and then got the ceremony going, and followed that up with a wild evening of partying!
So happy to have been a part of this super special day!
Enjoy!
This is something that I’ve been thinking about a bit over the past year or so. It’s something I’d love to see more of and be a part of.
Manitoba and Western Ontario are so damn beautiful. There is so many amazing places so close to home. You don’t need to elope across the planet (we love those too!) and you don’t need to plan a big huge wedding (yup we love those as well) but we want to toss out this idea of Local Elopements.
A local elopement would take a lot less planning on your part, a lot less expenses, and could be just as beautiful and as special for you. It doesn’t even need to be on a weekend, you could literally get married on a Tuesday if you wanted!
You may not need to worry about bouquets for bridesmaids, or boutonnieres for groomsmen, or table settings and everything else that comes along with a large wedding. Even the amount of waste that is produced from a wedding would be far far less for an elopement.
We’ve had the opportunity to shoot at many great spots in Manitoba and western Ontario, most of them being engagements and I can’t help but think of how amazing it would be to spend a day adventuring with a couple on their wedding day in these spots.
We’re throwing this out there to all you wonderful people, if you are getting married or know someone that is, why not consider a local elopement? We’d love to be a part of it and help you with planning it and making it perfect for you!

Oh what a fun day this was! I really enjoyed the day with Stacey and Travis and their family and friends out at The Rustic Wedding Barn. Once Stacey and her bridesmaids were ready we stepped outside to capture her first look with Travis. It was a sweet and cute moment between the two of them. After that we spent some time exploring the venue grounds and taking lots of photo’s before the ceremony. They had a sweet ceremony surrounded by their close family and friends and after that it was time to head into the beautifully decorated Barn!
As always I was keeping my eye on the sunset, and it didn’t look like we were going to get much of a sunset but we headed out to catch a few photo’s. We finished those up and no sooner than we had walked back into the venue I was calling them to come back out, the sunset was pure beautiful, and Stacey was so excited she ran out to the field ahead of us! :)
It was such an absolute pleasure to be a part of such a special day for these two! So very excited to share these photo’s with everyone!

Headed out to Gimli for Michelle and Rayme's wedding day. It was raining and we all hoped it would stop, but it didn't and it rained all day! That didn't stop us as we ended up getting some really beautiful photos outside and using all the sweet back up spots Michelle had planned. The ceremony and especially the speeches were emotional and lovely. Finished off the evening with some dancing and lots of laughs!
Thank you for having me!
- Michelle
If the choir singing as everyone walked down the aisle for the ceremony didn’t set the tone for the day I don’t know what else would! Seriously I had shivers it was intense, like something from the movie 300.
After the ceremony we headed over to the Legislative building for photo’s of the two of them and their wild wedding party. Then it was time to get the party started at The Metropolitan Centre, and party might have been a bit of an understatement, you see Aaron is a pretty darn good DJ, DJ Turbulance to be exact and him and Ashley arranged to have one heck of a good time for them and their guests!
Time for you to scroll on through the photo’s!
Enjoy!
What a fantastic day Gillian and Dougs wedding was! Very laid back, and stress free and full of good fun and laughs, and maybe some tears. They had their wedding at the always amazing Cielo’s Garden, always a treat to shoot a wedding there. Before the ceremony Gillian had an emotional first look with her Dad (These get me in the feels all the time). After the ceremony we stuck around Cielo’s property for photos and had them back mingling and hanging out with friends and family for cocktail hour. The rest of the night was spent with good food, great speeches, and dancing the night away!
Enjoy!
The day started with Kirsten and Patrick reading each other letters for their first look. It was sweet, intimate and super special. It all took place on Patricks parents riverside property. We hopped a quick limo ride to Assiniboine park for some photos with them and their wedding party. It was back to Patricks parents place to start the ceremony under a beautiful triangle arch with the river as a backdrop. The reception was filled with a few tears and a whole lot of laughter and crazy dance floor action. Really enjoyed this intimate and fun filled backyard wedding!
