Nicole and Ryan's wedding day started off with a fair bit of rain, but it cleared up just minutes before their first look. Perfect right!?!
I love wedding days, and this one was full of fun and familiar faces, which made it that much better! We headed out down Waterfront drive, and over to Upper Fort Garry for photo's.
The reception took place at the always amazing Fort Garry Hotel. It was decorated beautifully, and it helps that much more when your mom is a florist. Also, Nicole's dad had one of the best father of the bride speeches I've ever heard!
Its been an absolute treat getting to know Ryan and Nicole over the past couple years, we've captured some truly beautiful moments together!
Also, be sure to check out the Same Day Edit from Mindscape Studio's at the end of the post.

I think i've discovered the best way to start an engagement shoot... ICE CREAM!!
We headed out to Gimli on a beautiful evening, first stop was Country Boy Restaurant for ice cream. We wandered around while they enjoyed their ice cream. Made our way onto the beach, and found some really cute spots around town, then finished up on the docks for the last bit of sun light,
Andrea and Eric were total naturals in front of the camera, its like they could read my mind and knew exactly what to do.
Enjoy :)
I always say I love shooting places i've never been before, so when Alissa and Michael we're up for meeting us out in Brandon, while we were away for the week out at Clear Lake I was quite pleased.
We met up at the Brandon Research Centre and wandered around finding great spots to show off these two love birds. Afterwards we also had the pleasure of finding a few too many wood ticks on ourselves.
Not too long now until they are married!
Enjoy. :)
A strong core value we follow, and try to promote industry wide is "Community over Competition".
We have made some great friends in the wedding/photography industry, one of them being Bri Orchard-Sa from Orchard Photography.
Bri has been booming in the baby photography industry, and we have shared tips back and forth regarding weddings, baby's, gear and editing.
I had to take a few months off from shooting when I was too pregnant, and now that my daughter is a little bit older, I am wanting to get back into the game. As we are forever learning our craft, I asked Bri if she would mind if I tagged along on one of her many baby shoots. She happily agreed, and we set off to shoot one week old baby Lennyn.
Bri was generous enough to let me snap a few of my own photos during the process, and I couldn't help but shoot a few of her doing her thing.
Lennyn was a dream baby and it went so smoothly, and I definitely left feeling like I had learnt a few things.
So a BIG thank you to Bri, not only a fellow photographer, but also a great friend.

It wasn't that long ago that we posted Jamie and Brett's engagement photos, and no here is the big wedding day!
Its been nothing but fun from the first time we met them, until leaving on their wedding day. The day was pretty much as perfect as could be, the weather was amazing. Ashgrove Acre's is quite the wonderful venue!
Jamie and the girls started the day off at Bob and Page getting their hair and makeup taken care of, while the guys got ready out at Ashgrove Acre's. A little more getting ready out there for the girls and it was time for the first look, a beautiful ceremony, and a wonderfully decorated reception.
Once the sun started to make its way down we snuck the two of them outside to catch a few more photo's. We really do love sneaking away for 10-15 mins with our couples when the sun starts to set.
Big thank you to Michelle Blais for being an excellent second shooter!
Congrats Jamie and Brett!
