Nixon's 2nd Halloween!

Nixon's 2nd Halloween!

It's Nixon's second Halloween, and as per my usual self, there was bound to be multiple costumes, and a photo shoot.
I figure this is my last year of having full decision in what his costume(s) will be, so why not have a little fun.

He got to be a cute little lion, Buzz Lightyear (from the only movie he wont stop watching) a lumber jack (even though he looks a lot more like Bill Murray in my opinion) and of course his little pumpkin bum :)

Also - putting face makeup on a toddler is not an easy task.

I dare you not to smile through all of these pics!

Happy Halloween!

Dani + Matt - Gimli Engagement

Dani + Matt - Gimli Engagement

Some times, you meet people that you feel like you were meant to meet. (Yes I'm geeky and spiritual like this.. :)   )

Dani and Matt are no exception. The original meeting at our house with them was one of our longest meetings to date, not to mention a few bottles shared. But we had a blast, and knew that working with them was going to be just as much fun.

We ventured out to one of Corey and I's favorite Manitoba locations - Gimli, for their engagement shoot.

We started all fancy on the pier, headed to the airport for some wicked shots with a C-46 airplane, and then finished up on the beach.

Lots of laughs were had, and we loved every minute shooting with them.

I can't wait for their wedding next summer, it's destined to be just as fun - if not more!
Congrats on your engagement!

Jaimarie + Linden - Millenium Centre Wedding

There is something to be said about a classic black and white wedding, candle lit and romantic, it is just beautiful and timeless. Jaimarie and Linden were married on a beautiful sunny day, and had an equally as beautiful wedding.

They had the mood set just right, and the dance floor bumping right from the beginning of the night.

We had a good time spending the day with these two, and their friends and family.
As usual, I had a hard time picking my favs, so be prepared for pretty-ness over load!!
Congratulations to Jai and Linden on their marriage!

Christina + Nick - Fort Whyte Engagement

We've known Christina and Nick for a while now, these two are always all smiles and some of the kindest most genuine people we know. We headed out to Fort Whyte for their engagement shoot, it was a cloudy day with little bit of rain thrown at us, but we still had a good time and got some great photo's. We'll be shooting their wedding this coming up January at the Manitoba Club. Hopefully mother nature treats us kindly on their big day.

Laura + Dustin - Canadian Museum for Human Rights - Winnipeg Wedding Photographers

Laura and Dustin were winners of a contest we held last year for a free shoot, and on this free shoot, Dustin proposed. It was magical.

We have been lucky enough to document their biggest moments in life so far, and doing so, we got to get to know them as friends as well.

Their wedding was on a beautiful sunny day, and Laura having bronchitis didn't let it slow her down. The bridal party was a wild bunch of fun - non stop laughs all day.

It was hard to narrow down just a few of our faves, so there are a plethora of photos for your viewing pleasure below!

Congrats on your marriage Laura and Dustin!

Cheers!

Michelle + Kevin - Engaged | Winnipeg Wedding Photographer

So we've gotten to know these two a little bit this year, we spent the day with Kevin at Scott and Carina's wedding this summer (he was the best man, and had the most epic best man speech ever!).

It's been fun getting to know them, lots of laughs and jokes with these two.
We started the shoot at Assiniboine Forest, but that didn't really last long as I think our blood supply started running low due to all of the mosquitoes attacking us. So we headed to Assiniboine Park instead, luckily there wasn't many mosquitoes there.

Really looking forward to some more good times with the two of them and documenting their wedding next year!

Enjoy

Maribel - Maternity Shoot - Winnipeg Photographer

Nothing makes me more excited than meeting people who are about to become parents for the first time - it brings me right back to when I was pregnant, and I get to relive a little bit of my pregnancy through talking with them. It gives me happy feelings.
These two were both glowing with love and anticipation. You could feel the connection they had with their unborn baby, and each other. I am very much looking forward to meeting their bundle, and finally finding out if they have a son, or a daughter! In my opinion -  Mommy to be was totally channeling boy!

Baby Kingston was a tiny little gem. It definitely is a constant reminder how amazing the creation of life is, and how fast they grow.

I love when families have personal touches they want incorporated with their photos - Kingston was wearing her big sisters head band, as well as a little toque that she made for her new baby sister. Adorable!

Getting to meet new babies that are so young is such a precious thing. Baby Emma was probably the most awake baby I have encountered to date. I don't mind - it just means I get to have a few extra cuddles while she drifts off to sleep!
Once she was out - she was a gem to work with. It was hard picking my favs -  but here are a few of them below!

Steph + Rick - Engaged - Steep Rock, Mb

Ive known Steph for a long, long time, back in the prehistoric days of high school. and even though we live hours away these days, it's like we haven't missed a day apart when we can laugh and talk for hours. Which we did, when we took a road trip to Steep Rock, MB, to do their engagement photos.

Corey and I were having a blast climbing the rocks and getting the different angles, and Steph and Rick were naturals in front of the camera. We couldn't stop taking their pictures, and we actually shot until we literally ran out of light.

Congratulations Steph and Rick on your engagement - Corey and I are super excited to capture your wedding day next summer!
