I love adventures! Like really really love them! So when Erica and Ashley said they wanted to head out to the McGillivray Falls hiking trail I knew it was going to be a good time.
When we got to the trail entrance we were greeted by a sign saying the trail was closed, to me that just meant the adventure would be even better! The trail was in pretty rough shape due to some extreme rain we had earlier this summer that washed away the walkways and bridges that go up the falls. It didn't stop us though.
They actually got engaged at the top of the trail almost a year to the day of this shoot. So it was kind of a special place for them. I do think its one of the best trails I've been on, the view you get rewarded with is one of the best you'll come across in Manitoba.
Thanks Erica and Ashley for bringing me along to such a special place for you guys to capture some beautiful photo's for you. :)

Shooting a good friends wedding is always an honor, Brian was actually the MC at our wedding. The day started off with the guys and myself at the Clarion Hotel, and Amanda with the Ladies over at the Be-You-Tee Factory.
Brian and Chauna got married at Bridges Golf Course and wanted to do their first look out there as well. Having been friends with Brian for so long I kinda got teary eye'd when he got all emotional for the first look.
The day was full of fun, good laughs, hilarious speeches and a bumpin dance floor. It was good to see old friends celebrate one of the best days of their lives together, and we are so glad to have been there to capture it for them.
Congrats Chauna and Brian!
This wasn't their first go at an engagement shoot. The first one actually took place when Lionel proposed to Robyn in New York last year, and arranged for a photographer to be sneaky and capture it for them.
Robyn and Lionel trusted me to find a couple locations to do their shoot, which might I add was awesome of them. Sometimes I've got some places stored away up in my head that I really want to shoot at, but you need to right couple for the location.
Its always great getting out with the two of them, I feel like we all 'click' and have that instant friendship vibe going on. It for sure makes getting some emotions out of them a whole lot easier. Enough of me rambling on about them, take a look at their shoot and enjoy.
I've also included Dean Rover Films take on their engagement shoot at the end of the post, so be sure to check that out.
Kaitlyn and Ben kept things classy for their wedding, from her beautiful classic dress, to the amazing Fort Garry Hotel.
We did two first looks, one with her father, and one with Ben. I love first looks, especially one's with dad, they always get ya right in the feels!
We snapped a few photo's pre-ceremony over at the Legislative building and followed it up after with some photo's over in the exchange.
The Fort Garry was perfect for this elegant wedding. Big congrats to Kaitlyn and Ben! Wish you guys all the best.
Thanks to Rollan Temporsa for second shooting!
This was definitely one of our most memorable, and favorite weddings of the season. We had non stop laughs with these two, and it was an all around really good day. It ranks high in the books for us because of a couple of guests that were at the wedding - Polar bears!
Ashley and Simon had their wedding reception at the polar bear exhibit at the Zoo.
Not only did we get to see the seals, but the zoo staff fed the bears some treats as the new Mr and Mrs were in the tunnel. It made for some pretty spectacular photos, and amazing moments.
Congrats to the newly married couple, thank you for the fun day, the laughs, the dancing in the tunnels, and of course for the Bronuts for dessert!
Check out the pics below - you wont be disappointed.

Bri and Paulo wanted to switch things up from the Winter engagement shoot we did, so they booked us for a second engagement shoot. It took a few attempts to find a day that the weather would cooperate, and at that we almost called it off on our drive out to Lester Beach as the sky was looking pretty black. We kept on, as honestly I thought if anything we're gonna have some awesome moody skies to work with.
We got to the beach and the sky started to open up and create one of the most amazing sunsets i've seen! On one side you've got this amazing sunset and just to the right of that you can see the rain falling in the distance over the lake. CRAZY!!!
Had a lot of fun with this shoot, Bri and Paulo are good for some laughs thats for sure.
I've also been trying to get some video clips when I can remember during our shoots so i've included that little clip as well.
I hope you enjoy this shoot as much as we did!
When your shooting the director of golf at one of the most gorgeous courses in Manitoba you make sure that you head out there for their engagement shoot!
Brendan is a CPGA Pro, and just so happens to spend his summer at Granite Hills Golf Course (One of my favorite courses!) We had free range of the course with Mackenzie and Brendan, the weather was amazing, with some beautiful sunset light.
We were also lucky enough to have a huge full moon that evening, not to mention the bald eagle that joined in on a couple photos! Thank you Mr. Bald Eagle!
Looking forward to more fun times with these two at their wedding in 2018.

Jenn always wanted that fairy tale princess wedding, and she got just that for her wedding day! She even had an Alfred Angelo Cinderella dress!
I spent the day with them out at Evergreen Village, which was excellent as usual. The day went smooth without any hiccups , and the weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony.
I also ran into some familiar faces of couples we'd shot previously and another with a wedding coming up next year.
All the best the Jenn and Adam!

This was my first time out at La Barriere Park, never even knew it existed. Turns out its a pretty nice park with a great bridge to check out.
We made our way around the park finding some great light to work with and enjoying some fun laughs as well. Really wasn't too difficult to get the two of them smiling and workin some magic for the camera.
After we wrapped up the shoot and headed back to our vehicles I noticed the sky was looking exceptionally amazing and stopped them for a few last shots before they could drive away. Looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights this October.
On one of the hottest days of the summer Marie and Steve tied the knot! The ceremony was held outdoors at the beautiful Breezy Bend Country Club. The weather had been pretty extreme the week leading up to their wedding, with super hot temps, and usually followed up with a big thunderstorm, Mother Nature didn't disappoint for them either. The rain started right as the ceremony ended and poured down for a while afterwards. Luckily it cleared up and I got to sneak the two of them out for some photos! :)
We had a great time shooting their wedding, and a big thanks to Katie Mirrlees for second shooting for us.
Congrats Marie and Steve!
