Little Rory was just 12 days old for her first photo's, and she did great, as did mom and dad.
I really love these lifestyle type shoots and would love to do more of them. Enjoy.
Birdshill Park never really disappoints. It seems no matter what time of year you go there it's always great for photos. While spring time has its challenges with crazy weather, messy streets, etc. The park is just beautiful. It was a bit of a windy day when we got out with Melissa and Aaron, and it was a bit cool. However these two toughed it out and made the best of it, and the photo's show.
Looking forward to capturing more beautiful photo's of them later this year.
So while shooting a friends wedding back in early 2016 at the Manitoba Club a friend introduced me to Jamie and Brett. I think it went something like... "Hey these guys are getting married, and you're a photographer, you guys need to talk". The rest is history I suppose.
We got out to Birdshill Park and adventured around finding some great light and pretty spots to shoot. I really love when couples relax and have some good laughs during their shoots, and these two did just that.
Enjoy.
A little history about Janelle and Eric.
Eric is my best friend, he was my best man at my wedding. Before we were friends I couldn't stand the guy! haha. Janelle on the other hand i've thought was great from the start, the perfect girl for Eric.
We're really honored to be shooting two of our really great friends wedding, not only that but I get to be a groomsman as well.
We headed out to a friends place for their engagement shoot. I'd never seen the place before and didn't know what to expect, it turned out to be a great place to shoot.
Seeing as how they met while sledding they wanted that to be part of their photo's too, so there's a few shots with them and their sleds.
Enjoy.
Its time for some super cute Easter pics of our little kiddo's! This is Nix's 3rd Easter, and he's pretty darn excited about it! This will obviously be Alivia's first, based on her expression I'd say she's rather concerned about the whole thing.
Hopefully these put a smile on your face!
We were supposed to head out to Birdhill Park for Jamie's maternity shoot but Mother Nature wasn't having that. So, instead we did the shoot in their home, and im really happy about that! I've been wanting to do more in home, lifestyle type shoots and this one was perfect!
They even had flower wreaths made for the dogs to wear! (Awesome work by Britney of Fache Florals)
Its fun chatting with soon to be parents, there's so much excitement, nervousness, unsure of what to expect, etc. I think these two will do just fine when their little one comes along.
I'd love to do more of these type of shoots so if you're interested shoot us a message!
Enjoy.
Grand Beach isn't exactly a winter destination. However, when you've got a beautiful winter day with the sun shining why not hit the beach for some engagement photo's.
Cassandra and Troy were up for some winter beach time thankfully, and we had a great time out there. We even had a little time by a fire in the snow!
I love getting out on engagement shoots and getting to know our couples better. There's always some good laughs to be had, and we always leave with smiles on our faces.
We spent an amazingly warm afternoon at The Forks for Carley and Dales engagement shoot.
Some skating was involved, and I seem to recall someone not being to sure footed on the ice. Im not going to name names though.
I met Dale way way back in High school, we were pretty much best buds. I hate to admit it but we spent far too many late nights playing War Craft.
Its always such an honor to shoot a friends wedding, and its also a great time to catch up with old friends, really looking forward to their big day!
Enjoy :)
I had seen some photo's of these crazy ice formations on the news, and knew I wanted to get out and shoot there. Carmen and Ben we're up for the adventure, so off to Winnipeg Beach we went.
I had a great time with these two love birds, so many good laughs. Ben also really enjoyed it as it gave him a perfect excuse to get some kisses and cuddles in with Carmen.
I didn't take it too easy on them, and talked them into climbing up onto these slippery ice mountains. I love it when couples are down for whatever I throw at them.
Also, Im fairly certain Ben's real name is Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson also known as 'The Mountain' from Game of Thrones.
Here's to looking forward to many more adventures this year!
- Corey
As most of you know, Corey and I just had a new baby of our own only a few short months ago - and when I was late in my pregnancy, I had to take a hiatus from shooting. This was tough for me, as it's something I enjoy doing. And although I may have put down the camera, I never stopped learning while I was away from shooting. I am constantly on websites, and watching tutorials and talking with other photographers - trying to learn new things, and different ways I can better my craft.
But I am now back at it, and super excited to put all my new knowledge to use!
To get me back into the swing of things, and fine tune my flow, we are offering a special to the first few Momma's that book a newborn shoot with me.
I come to your home, set up near a nice sized window, and let you be comfortable and relax in your own space. I get to have some adorable baby snuggles, and you get a break!
For more information, or if you'd like to book, please head over to our contact page and shoot us a line!
I went back over some of the baby's that I got the privilege of cuddling with other the last year, and picked a few of my absolute favorite photos - check out below for the cuteness overload!
