These two didn’t hold back on getting dressed up all kinds of fancy for their engagement shoot! Michael wore a super sharp suit, and Jessieca had a fantastic dress that fit in perfect with all of the beautiful blooms at Assiniboine Park. I had no idea all the blooms would be out, but wow did it work out so good. Such a beautiful shoot, and these two were up for everything and we had lots of fun getting some romantic shots, and some of them just having a good time and lots of laughs.
Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

A common theme among our shoots seems to be the amount of fun we have. Its not just a little fun, it seems to be a fair bit of it. Charmaine and Eric’s engagement shoot at Birds Hill Park didn’t dissapoint. We had great light, the two of them looking great, and we all had a fun time and lots of laughs.
Their wedding is coming up in August and i’m sure the fun won’t stop for that!
Enjoy!
Back in June I hopped in my car on what looked to be a beautiful sunny day in Winnipeg, and started my drive out to Winkler. About 30 mins before I made it to Winkler the clouds had covered the sun and rain was coming down. As you’d imagine my heart got a little bit sad that we wouldn’t be getting many beautiful outdoor photo’s, and I didn’t really know what was around for alternate indoor locations nearby.
Walking into Rita’s parents home I wasn’t sure what reaction i’d get about the rain, but one of the first things Rita said was that she was more than ready to head out for photo’s in the rain! YESSSSS!!!! now thats the attitude I love. I was all for it as it wasn’t pouring, but it was still coming down enough to get rather soaked. I took a chance with the camera gear and tried to keep it as dry as possible.
We started off with a really cute first look just outside the house under the cover of the chicken coop, the best looking chicken coup i’ve ever seen too! After that, we hopped in their old civic and booted down some gravel roads and found some absolutely breathtaking places for photo’s with them.
If you ask me the rain made these photo’s way better than a sunny day. They embraced it, had a great time with it and I couldn’t be happier with the results. We did get a few breaks from the rain while doing family photo’s and photo’s with the wedding party, so that was nice.
Rita’s parents also have a herd of Bison at their place, so clearly we had to get out there and get some photo’s with the herd. We couldn’t get too close for obvious reasons, but it was nice to incorporate them into some shots.
The rest of the evening was spent celebrating Rita and Shawn with their closest family and friends around. Countless good laughs during the speeches were had.
If you’re having your wedding in or around Winkler i’d love to shoot it, its just too beautiful out there, and for all the brides out there worried about rain on the wedding day, just take a scroll through these photo’s and don’t be too worried about it. The rain can sure make things just as stunning!

Enjoy!!!
We’ve been out to Pinawa Dam Provincial Park a couple times this year, and its always different, always finding different light, perspectives and spots to shoot. Gillian and Doug made my job easy as we made our way around capturing these beautiful pictures below. Their wedding is coming up in September so be on the lookout for that in a couple months!

Spent an evening at Birds Hill Park with Hailey and Leighton a little while ago. The sky was cloudy but it just made things a little more moody for us. Had some good fun and laughs as we adventured around Birds Hill Park. These two are super sweet, and can’t wait for their wedding!

A beautiful evening spent at Birds Hill Park with with Stacey and Travis for their engagement shoot. We had lots of great laughs together, talked about canker worms eating the leaves on the tree’s this year, and all kinds of other random things. I felt like we were just some good friends wandering the park together and having a good chat. Can’t wait to spend the day with them for their wedding in October this year!

I drove out to Kenora for Kelsey and Brad's engagement session - forgot what a beautiful drive it is! I saw a small turtle crossing the highway, a bear and a coyote! I made it to Kenora and Kelsey and Brad took me out on their boat on Lake of the Woods. We explored the lake, found some cool spots and got some amazing shots! Thanks for taking me on a tour of LOTW! Looking forward to the wedding!!

Once I found the place, classic me, I got lost - it was a beautiful shoot! Danielle's parents have property just outside the city and we found some hidden gems to shoot at. Lots of tall grass, but thankfully no wood ticks! We also had a surprise visit from their son - what a cutie! Thanks to you both & looking forward to the wedding!

Michelle & Rayme invited me out to Gimli for their engagement shoot. They had all sorts of locations scouted, so it made my job easy! I love Gimli and I could have shot them all night. These two are awesome and I'm so looking forward to their wedding this fall back out in the Gimli area.
Kirsten and Patrick invited Amanda and myself out to the family cabin at Silver Falls Manitoba. Before we started shooting we sat down, chatted, enjoyed a tasty beverage and counted all of the random moose paraphernalia around the cabin. We didn’t have to venture to far to capture some great moments with them. These two are real sweet and we cant wait to be there with them and all their family and friends when they say their ‘I do’s’ in a couple months!
