Fresh snow on the ground, and water still flowing down the river and a beautiful couple all came together to make this beautiful engagement session. You can’t ever really go wrong with a session in the Whiteshell in Manitoba. This was also a spot i’d never been to before so that made things pretty exciting for me! I love going to new locations. Lynn and Kevin were fun and super comfortable in front of the camera.
We didn’t get much for sunlight during this shoot, and just as we were ready to call the shoot over, the sun came out with some beautiful light for us to capture a few more photos!
Thanks sun!
A cute little evening with Oceane and Michael. We wandered through the woods with their pups and captured some real cute photo’s of all of them. The ground was covered in leaves, and the fall colors were looking wonderful. Oceane and Michael were super easy going and really cute with eachother. I hope you enjoy this session!
Last fall Marilyn contacted me to do a couples shoot for her and Kyle. Turns out this was a surprise shoot for Kyle. These two were nothing but big smiles! They had so much fun, and hey they even brought me a coffee, which helped keep me warm on this chilly afternoon. It was beautiful with a little bit of snow on the ground and they had such fun and loving attitudes. Looking forward to capturing their wedding soon!
The theme of this shoot would be smiles, because these two brought bucket loads of them to the engagement session! Did we ever have some fun!! I think there might have been a couple of mugs that had something other than coffee in them too… but what do I know, i’m just a guy with a camera! haha.
We met Brenna and Drew a few years ago at a wedding we shot in Mexico, we got along great right from the start, the copious amounts of drinks we all had in the pool may have also been a big part of that, but as I said before, what do I know, i’m just a guy with a camera.
Its been an absolute blast getting to know them over the years and we are thrilled to be a part of their big day later this year out at Hecla!
Take a little scroll through the pics and enjoy!
Sunsets, smiles, warm fall evenings, and capturing special moments with great people are some of my favorite things! Melissa and Bryton gave me an opportunity to enjoy those things with them for the engagement session. Looking forward to capturing more beautiful moments with them again this fall for their wedding!
I don’t always spend 8-10 hours with a couple when they get married. Sometimes its just an hour or two to capture some photo’s for the couple. I spent around an hour with Zoey and Andy taking their wedding photo’s before we parted ways and they went and had their ceremony.
I’ve been noticing a lot more couples just wanting a couple hours of coverage over this past year. Weddings have become significantly smaller and more intimate so there isn’t always a need for a full day of wedding photo’s. Im happy to be able to provide this kind of coverage for couples as I feel no matter what its important to document these special moments.
Zoey and Andy and myself walked through the gardens at Assiniboine Park and created some magical moments to remember their wedding day.
Enjoy!
I met up with Monika and Alex pretty much one year before this shoot happened, and on that day we had that crazy blizzard that knocked down so many tree’s and powerlines! What a wild evening that was. Lucky for us the evening of their engagement shoot was far far more pleasant and there was no worries of a blizzard! We spent some time walking around Bunns Creek Park. I’ll always suggest having your engagement photo’s done, it really gives us all a chance to get to know each other, and it gets the two of you comfortable in front of the camera, and hey, its also more photo’s of the two of and you can’t go wrong with that!
Enjoy!
You can’t ever go wrong with a beautiful fall evening. Warm sunshine, beautiful colors and a couple of great people like Teagan and Justin having their engagement photo’s taken!
It was great getting out with the two of them and getting to know them a bit better. We wandered around some trails at Birds Hill Park and found some beautiful light and some wonderful moments for them.
A while back Megan and Kevin contacted us about shooting their wedding in Mexico, and plans were set… then our stupid annoying friend Corona came around and overstayed its welcome and plans had to change. Everyone could have been super bummed out about it but instead these two made the best of it and got married on a ridiculously nice fall day at Bella’s Castle in Morden, Manitoba! The sun was shining, close friends and family were all there to support and have the best time with them. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day. I remember so many people laughing so hard they were in tears from speeches, lots of drinks and great food. I love being a part of these moments in peoples lives and feeling like im just another friend spending the day with them.
There’s been a lot of tough choices to be made my couples this past year, but take a tip from Megan and Kevin and just go for it and embrace it and have the best time of your life!
Time for you to flip through these and enjoy them!
A fall wedding, on a cliff above the beach sounds pretty fantastic to me. Ashley and Anthony got married at Victoria Beach Manitoba this past fall surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The day was wonderful, the colors were amazing and all of the emotions were part of their day.
The ceremony was along the cliff side over looking Lake Winnipeg. The sky was full of all the moodiness you could ask for. The ceremony was sweet and touching. After saying their ‘I do’s’ we took some family photo’s and ventured off through some trails for photo’s with them and the wedding party.
A delicious dinner followed, and some great speeches and a beautiful first dance with Ashleys father singing to them!
