Whitney and Steve wanted to do their engagement photo's on their property, full of beautiful oak tree's, and trails through the bush! The weather wasn't perfect, but honestly i'm not complaining! Their wedding is fast approaching and we're looking forward to shooting some more with them out at the Hitch'n Post!
Enjoy the photos!
I've been on the hunt for a really good camera bag for some time now, and Peak Design has put an end to that hunt!
Most bags out there are horrible looking, some look like a bag you'd take on a safari through the jungle, some just come off as useless or not very functional. Peak Designs has nailed it with their Everyday Messenger bag. Not only is is really really good looking, its also super functional and designed with a lot of thought in mind.
As soon as you get the package in the mail, you are impressed with how its packed. It arrives in a nice simple black bag that is stitched closed, it has one simple instuction to open it.
After you've sat and admired the bag that it comes in for a while and finally pull that string to open it, you are graced with the prescence of one hell of a nice camera bag. So many little touches that really show how much thought has been put into its design.
I havent had a chance to use the bag much yet, but so far my gear fits in it nicely, there's a good amount of pockets. The latch is brilliant, and so far the bag is an all around winner.
Here's a few pics I snapped of it.
**Im not being paid for this review, Im just really excited to have this bag. It was an early Fathers Day/Brithday gift.

Sometimes I think you just need to throw things out to the world! This is one of them.
I've wanted to visit Iceland for longer than I can remember, i'm actually half Icelandic, which probably has a lot to do with my desire to visit. I'm also a photographer and words can't describe how much i'd love to take photo's there. Even more than that i'd love to take photo's of a couple getting married in Iceland. Whether you are from Iceland of somewhere else in the world and looking to elope makes no difference.
So, this is my pitch! If you are getting married in Iceland, I am offering my services free of charge. I will shoot engagement photo's and your wedding in Iceland, all I require is that my airfare (round trip) and accommodations are paid for by you. That's it! In return I will take great photo's for you, and capture your special moments in memories that will last you a life time.
This is just one of those bucket list things I want to do. If there's somewhere else amazing that you are getting married I just might extend this offer to other locations. So shoot us an email using our contact form and lets make this happen.
I've been wanting to shoot at this iconic Winnipeg location for a while. There's just something about the grit, and old age of Arlington Bridge. Its actually over 100 years old, which is amazing if you ask me. Having met Rob a little while back, I thought it would be great to get him and his wife out for a shoot. Rob is also an extremely talaneted photographer (Click here for his instagram) The day before the shoot the weather was amazing, and sure enough in true Winnipeg style that wasn't the case the day of. It was pretty much freezing out, and the sky was gloomy. Turns out that really complimented the overall look of the shoot. Anyways, enough of me rambling, take a look through the photo's and enjoy.

I love maternity shoots! I love them because we get to meet people that in embracing some of the happiest moments of their relationship. We get to capture their love, get them to interact and see them both glow. Not to mention I absolutely love baby bumps! Not only do I love maternity shoots, but I also love knowing that I am going to get to see the couple again, and SOON, to take some adorable newborn photos. Going through some of the biggest stages of life with other people is one of the reasons I absolutely LOVE my job. Getting to share special moments, and capture these life long memories makes every minute I'm working worth it.
Here are a few pictures of Amanda and Tyler from their maternity shoot - stay tuned to see the pics of their bundle - coming soon!

I am a strong believer of the saying ' everything happens for a reason', and this could not have been proven better than when we finally made it out for Ainsley and Ian's engagement shoot.
As we were walking along some trails and taking some pics, we happened upon a gathering of deer, who totally didn't mind us interrupting their dinner to pose for a few photos!
It was a lot colder than we had anticipated, but Ainsley and Ian kept it nice steamy.
We loved getting to know these two. and especially all of the laughs we had while going down the toboggan run.
Their wedding is bound to be a good time!

Time for some Easter cuteness! Our little dude is growing up so fast, its kind of crazy. However we're still having fun snapping these little shoots with him. We're pretty excited for his first easter egg hunt this weekend.
Hope everyone has a great long weekend, and eats a few too many easter eggs.
Just thought we'd post a few pics from our recent trip to Cabo. What a great trip! We stayed at the very amazing Riu Palace Los Cabos. The view from the hotel was one of the best we've seen.
We'd spend our mornings on the beach or poolside and watch whales jumping out of the water way off in the distance. We did a couple fun things while we were there too, Para Sailing (honestly never thought Amanda would do that!), Checked out the Marina, Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach (such an out of this world place) and we took a catamaran trip to do some snorkeling.
Enjoy.
When in Cabo...
Not so long ago we took a little vacation to Cabo for the week. We didn't really plan on working while there, but we met this great couple while hanging out at the pool. Turns out they were getting married that week, and they only had the resort photographer for a couple of hours. So we offered to steal them away for an hour on their wedding day and grab some pics of the two of them. So glad we had the chance to get out with them and shoot for a bit in such a beautiful place. We also had their photo's delivered to them the week after we got home, months sooner than the resort photographer would deliver.
We've been shooting weddings, engagements, etc for a few of years now, and not going to lie but we still get nervous when we head out for a shoot. When Bri and Paulo booked us for their wedding that level of nervousness increased quite a bit! Bri is also a wedding photographer, so now we've got that pressure on us! Don't get me wrong though, I love that we still get nervous when we head out to shoot, it just makes it so we push ourselves more and more all the time. The day we lose the nerves I think is the day that creativity and caring stops.
Bri and Paulo wanted to have their engagement shoot in the winter with lots of snow. Well up until a few days before their shoot, we really had next to no snow. Mother nature stepped in and had her way with creating the most beautiful winter wonderland we ever did see! (Thanks Mother Nature!! We owe you.)
We took a little walk through Birds Hill Park and found some really beautiful spots to shoot. We had some super cute little visitors stop by to have their pictures taken with Bri and Paulo too! After all that romance in the snow, we found our way to a little hill for some toboganning fun, which also turned into a snow fight. This shoot was a ton of fun, and Bri and Paulo sure didn't lack on bringin it!
Enjoy.
