We love Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park. Its the cutest little Lake Town, and full of beauty!
We met up with Kirstin and Blaise at Lake House and then took off for some photos. The weather was pretty great, maybe a bit windy, and there had been some fresh snowfall recently which made it extra magical.
We took an adventure through some trails, out on to the windy frozen lake, and I made them walk through some really deep snow. It was all so worth it. After that it was back to Lake House to warm up and take some cozy photo’s by the fire inside.
Can’t wait to get back out to Clear Lake for more weddings and engagements!
Have you ever been to the St. Norbert Trappist Monastery? Its a pretty neat place, and has a kind of romantic feel to it in the ruins. I met up with Deanna and Adam there and we wandered around, found some great spots of light to shoot in and had some fun on a ‘not too cold’ February afternoon in Winnipeg.
What a great time this was with Kelsi and Taylor!
Taylor had planned an anniversary weekend in Winnipeg with Kelsi (They are from Saskatchewan) so they did all the good things, like Thermea, the Forks, Dinner, etc… and a photoshoot!! These two were all kinds of fun in front of the camera and we had a lot of great laughs.
Would love to do more of these anniversary shoots for couples, so if you’re interested just shoot us a message and lets make it happen.
Back in the winter I headed out to Gimli and on to the frozen Lake Winnipeg for some fun photos with Katelyn and Theo. I had fun capturing some fun and romantic moments with the two of them. We also checked out the Mercedes Benz Ice Garage and took a few photo’s in there too. It was a windy and cold day, but despite that we still captured some great moments.
Enjoy.
What an amazing day spent with Cheyenne and Brett for their wedding. The champagne was flowing, and the smiles and laughs were abundant while the ladies were getting ready. The guys were up to the same thing, just maybe something different than champagne for them.
Cheyenne had the wonderful Ashley Tiopo Artistry team doing her makeup and the bridesmaids. The Bridesmaids all had beautiful black dresses on which totally suited the look for the day! After the ladies were all ready at the Inn at the Forks everyone made their way to All Saints Church for a beautiful ceremony. Im a big fan of the fancy old churches, and All Saints is one of them. Bretts first time seeing Cheyenne for the day was when she was walked down the aisle by her dad. The ceremony was wonderful and there was some tears happening thats for sure.
After the beautiful ceremony we headed back over to The Forks for some photo’s with the wedding party, and Cheyenne and Brett. We took photo’s on the skating trail, and some outside the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. After that we made our way inside the Museum for some more fun and fancy photo’s before getting the big celebration started!
Im not sure if i’ve mentioned it before, but live bands are amazing at Weddings! Cheyenne and Brett had The Big City All Star Band (One of the best!) They sure know how to get the action happening on the dance floor.
This was an absolute wonderful day spent with some great people! Hope you enjoy the photos!

These two guys… what can we say about them! They are a couple of the nicest guys i’ve ever met. Always so happy and full of some good laughs. As I’m writing this we just had a visit from them at our front door (can’t get too close because of social distancing), they dropped off some home made easter paska for us and the kids (it was fantastic by the way) and last weekend we spent some time chatting over FaceTime and enjoying some drinks. Im happy to have had the chance to meet Tyrell and Matt and call them friends.
Now… lets chat about these two and their wedding day! I started the day off meeting them at the Inn at the Forks, to which they both answered the door without shirts on, haha! I captured some great moments of them getting ready for the day together. A few of their best friends and family were also there and had some very kind words to say to them. It got a bit emotional all up in that room!
With everyone dressed up and ready to go we ventured around the Forks taking some photos, and having more good times! A few photo’s in the Train Station, some more inside the Forks market. We might have enjoyed a macaroon from Jenna Rae Cakes as well.
After that it was off to the always gorgeous Hawthorn Estates! The ceremony was so amazing, so personal, and you could really feel all the love for these two guys in the room! Everyone enjoyed some amazing charcuterie from Chef Ben Kramer, who might I mention also created an amazing dinner for everyone! WOW!
With Dinner all finished up they wasted no time in getting the party started. This was no ordinary party though, first it was introduced via video by Rick Campanelli (aka Rick the temp) from Much Music, and it was a Much Music Video Dance Party!! Lets just say everyone was beyond excited about this and the dance floor was bumpin the entire time!
Maybe i’ve said enough, and now its time for you to check out the photos!!
Lets just start by saying that it was something like -30 outside for this shoot! You wouldn’t know it with the fun these two had though. We drove out to Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park and met up with Brynn and Braden at Lake House. We had already kind of known each other as we’d shot Bradens sisters wedding not too long ago, so it was great to see them again!
We bundled up and made our way outside for all kinds of good fun, piggy back rides, snow fights and some cute romantic stuff too!
Its no secret that we LOVE Clear Lake and get out there any chance we can, we’d love to get out there for more engagements and weddings.
Have a good scroll through these and hope you enjoy just as much as we do!
A day after they celebrated their beautiful wedding on the beach we spent some more time with Samantha and Sean taking some more photos. They got all fancied up again and we got to wander around the beach and in some areas just off the path around the Iberostar Bella Vista Resort. The sun was out and made for a great sunset. Its always so nice to get out and do these day after sessions, there’s a little more time to slow things down, nothing else to worry about.
Enjoy!
Oh how I miss the warm weather, the sand, and jumping in the ocean!
Samantha and Sean and a great bunch of their family and friends jumped on a plane and flew off to Varadero, Cuba! (We were on the plane with them too!). We all spent a good few days enjoying the Iberostar Bella Vista Resort, having some tasty beverages by the pool, and just having a lot of fun!
The wedding day was no exception to the fun, a beautiful ceremony on the beach, some moody skies for photo’s, a delicious meal, and the first Beach Party that the resort ever had! What a time!
Im just going to let you take a little browse through some of their photo’s below! Hope you enjoy!!
Also, their day after session will be on the blog soon!
In early July we were in Cuba at the Iberostar Bella Vista for Samantha and Sean’s destination wedding (Hitting the blog soon) We had a great week out there and got to know a bunch of their friends and family. On our last day in Cuba while we were waiting to leave the resort we took these two couples out for quick 15 min shoots! Had some fun with these and got some really great photo’s of them. Usually we spend much more time with couples while taking their photo’s to really get them comfortable with the camera, however I think with the 15 mins we had we really captured some great photo’s for them and made it an enjoyable experience too!
Enjoy!
