I’m going to let you in on a secret… not all wedding days go exactly as planned, especially when it comes to the weather. Samantha and Graeme had an amazing backyard wedding planned, there was supposed to be furniture, little areas to mingle and drink, and all kinds of beautiful touches. However, good ol mother nature had other plans for their day, and decided it would be a good idea to rain all day, and not just a little rain, but extremely heavy rain! Lucky for them they had a fantastic wedding planner (Soiree Planning) and they were able to pivot and change plans really quickly, they transformed Graeme’s Dad’s house into a wedding venue, still managed to have their ceremony outdoors in the yard, and had the best time they possibly could! They did their first dance in the rain, as well as the father daughter dance!
They could have easily let the weather ruin their day, however they just took the day as it was and made the best of it. Weather is out of your control, don’t let it ruin your day, embrace it and make it part of the day!
They had an amazing team of vendors for their wedding as well.

A super sweet and intimate elopement in Clear Lake you say? Sign us up!!! We love Clear Lake (Riding Mountain National Park) and we love intimate elopements just like the one Danielle and Mitchell had. Their ceremony was overlooking the lake, with boats and paddle boarders going by. They stopped for a cinnamon bun at White House (If you haven’t had one from there, you need to!) and then they went and got some Ice Cream from Velvet Dip (I got one too!) We wandered around and took some photo’s and then went for a boat ride on the Martese with their family. We finished up the day with an impromptu first dance outside at The Elkhorn. I asked them what their song was, and then played it on my phone for them so they could enjoy the moment together.
This was a treat of a day! Enjoy!
I dont think its possible to get tired of shooting out at the lake, especially somewhere beautiful like West Hawk Lake. I met up with Raydan and Blair out there while they were at the Family Cabin and captured a beautiful couples session with them. We had some good fun, great laughs and created some beautiful photos! This won’t be the last time you see them on here either, as they just booked us for their wedding!! Super exciting. If you didn’t know, Raydan is also an amazing wedding planner! You can check out her business Divine Weddings she’s always great to work with!
Enjoy!!
Angelina and Max met up with me at Assiniboine Forest this summer and we managed to catch a beautiful sunset! We wandered the trails, laid in the long grass (well they did, not me I was up in the tree). Can’t wait for more good times with Angelina and Max when they get married!
An absolute beauty of an evening with Mindy and Jeff at La Barrier Park. Had some fun walking through some really deep grass, and finding all that beautiful summer sunshine.
I love weddings of all types, but these small intimate weddings can be some of my favorite. Stella and Adrian had just their closest friends and family surrounding them for the day at La Lune Wedding Venue. It was decorated so beautifully for them, and the day was super casual but classy at the same time.
Enjoy!
A stroll through Birds Hill Park on a beautiful summer evening! Krysten and Tyler were all smiles and sunshine for their engagement session. You’ll be seeing more of them on the blog soon with their intimate wedding at Hawthorn Estates.
Enjoy!
Tiffany and Gerald grew tired of waiting for the world to go back to normal, so they had their ceremony outdoors and with some great style while they were at it. They had their ceremony at the amazing St. Norbert Monastery Ruins on a gorgeous summer afternoon! I was there to capture the ceremony and some photo’s afterwards. It was gorgeous and so perfect.
Take a few moments and scroll through the photo’s below. Enjoy!
Took a trip out to Winkler for Lindsay and Justin’s big wedding day! What a great time this was!! So much joy and happiness surrounded them the entire day. Not to mention there was a barn full of golden retriever puppies (I almost filled my camera bag with them and took them home).
We all hopped into a big shuttle bus and headed out to take photo’s, when we got back to the bus we found out that the bus was broken down and had to wait for a replacement, no worries, and lots of smiles were still had!
A beautiful ceremony amongst some of the largest tree’s i’ve ever seen in Manitoba, and then a wonderful evening with all their family and friends!
Take a look, enjoy the pics!
I met Nicole and Rowell a couple years ago while shooting her cousin Rae-Anne’s wedding so there was some familiar faces for me to see at their wedding at Fort Gibraltar. We started with their first look outside the Holy Rosary Church, it was super sweet, and Rowell may have had a tear or two in his eyes!
Wedding ceremonies at Holy Rosary are always great because that means we get to see Father Sam again. He’s one of the most kind, fun and witty guys around.
After the ceremony we all headed to The Common at the Forks for a couple drinks and then some photo’s with everyone!
Then it was off to Fort Gibraltar, such a unique venue located right in the center of Winnipeg. It also has some of the best wedding venue food around!
The reception was full of great laughs, lots of drinks and so much fun to be had by everyone there!
